Hilton Barbados Resort is set on a headland between two white sand beaches at the southern end of Carlisle Bay, incorporating the 17th century Charles Fort and the Needhams Point Lighthouse in its grounds. Located just south of Bridgetown, the resort is a convenient option for those who are looking for a high quality base with a good range of facilities. Guests can easily get out and explore the island’s capital city and other tourist sites, while St. Lawrence Gap is just ten minutes away by car, a great place to experience the lively local nightlife.
All rooms in the resort have a private balcony with views of the Caribbean Sea or Bridgetown and Carlisle Bay. Three restaurants offer varied dining experiences, from buffet breakfast and casual lunches to gourmet dinners.
A large lagoon style swimming pool and Jacuzzi overlooks the beach, with plenty of sun loungers dotted amongst palm trees. Other facilities include a fantastic spa, a fitness centre, three tennis courts and a water sports centre where guests can learn to scuba dive with PADI-certified instructors, snorkel off the beach, go on boat tours, swim with turtles and more.
Children are well catered for, with plenty of indoor and outdoor activities on offer at the Kidz Paradise Club for youngsters aged between 4 and 12 years old. Age-appropriate activities include treasure hunts, pool games, beach games and movies, all organised by specially trained staff.

Set on the south coast, I was surprised at the size of the The Hilton. It really is large compared to other hotels.
The property has everything you would expect from a Hilton - a good selection of foods, fantastic facilities, an exceptional spa and the best vanilla lattes on island are served in their Cuppa Cafe.
The Hilton is perfectly located for you to use as a base while exploring what the South coast of Barbados has to offer, however I would strongly recommend staying on a bed and breakfast basis and taking the opportunity to sample the exceptional local cuisine in the many restaurants near by.
