Little Good Harbour in Barbados is an intimate and stylish boutique hotel which incorporates a restored 18th century fort in Shermans, a small fishing village on the island’s north west coast.

The focal point of the hotel is the renowned Fish Pot restaurant, housed within the original fort building overlooking a quiet beach and the azure Caribbean Sea. The restaurant is open air with a covered terrace and serves fresh seafood as part of its Caribbean and international cuisine.

The two and three bedroom Fort Suites share the same breathtaking views – each oceanfront suite is complete with air conditioning, a terrace or balcony, a four poster bed and a fully equipped kitchen. The rest of the accommodation is located across the road from the beach, where luxury villa suites nestle occupy semi-detached cottages set within lush tropical gardens. The one, two and three bedroom villas have fully stocked fridges ready for the guests’ arrival and all home comforts match the highest standards.

Guests can spend their days lounging by one of the two swimming pools which can be found in the gardens, swimming and snorkelling in the warm sea, indulging in spa treatments, or getting out and exploring the island. While children are not specifically catered for, the hotel can organize activities from water skiing and catamaran day trips to yacht charters and golf to fulfill their guests’ wishes. Located just a few miles north of Speightstown, Little Good Harbour is within easy reach of a range of historic attractions.

The Fishpot restaurant is a must stop for many food-savvy visitors to Barbados, so the luxury of having this on-site as well as the option to self-cater in your fully appointed kitchen you get the best of both worlds. Fishpot is located in the old fort on the beachfront, along with the Two and Three Bedroom Fort Suites which really do impress with everything a family or group can need – a home away from home yet with the bonus of being directly beside the Caribbean sea.

Hotel Information

Children: Children are welcome at Little Good Harbour all year round. Babysitting is available at a charge (approx. BD$10 per hour).

Distance from the airport: 45 minutes by taxi.

Location: A peaceful fishing community known as Shermans – around 3kms from Speightstown for shopping facilities.

Hotel Facilities: These include The Fish Pot Restaurant and bar, two freshwater swimming pools; access to the beach with gazebos, complimentary use of kayaks and snorkelling equipment, plus wireless internet throughout the property, use of an exercise room with a rowing machine and cross trainer. Spa treatments, such as massage therapies and body wraps plus a beauty area for manicures, pedicures and facials, are also available.

Activities: Motorised water sport is 4kms away at Mullins beach where there is water skiing, jet skiing and hobie cat sailing available. The hotel can arrange Catamaran trips - a day trip with lunch is approx US$90 pp. Fishing trips, yacht charters, day tours, golf and island excursions can also be arranged. Sightseeing with visits including museums, the wildlife reserve, plantation houses and Harrison's Cave can be arranged too. Music events and festivals are held throughout the year.

Meal Arrangements: Room only, B&B and half board options are available.

Check In /Out: Rooms are available from 3pm and guests are asked to vacate their rooms by 12 noon.

Dress Code: Dress for dinner is elegant/casual.

Accommodation
There are 21 Luxury villa suites, each with a well-equipped kitchen and separate living room with French doors leading out to a terrace or balcony. All offer air conditioning in the bedroom, ceiling fans, hair dryers, an iron and board, stereo with CD and a 26" flat screen TV.

One Bedroom Garden Suite: Semi-detached cottage with accommodation on a split level with the living room and kitchen downstairs and the bedroom and bathroom upstairs with a terrace and balcony. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 1 child on rollaway bed (102sqm).

Two Bedroom Garden Suite: Detached cottage-style villas in the gardens situated near the swimming pool. One suite is on 2 levels with the living area being adjacent to the main bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor. The other two suites are on one level with a bedroom being either side of the living room. All suites have a large terrace with a dining table and chairs. Maximum occupancy: 4 adults + 1 child on rollaway bed (130sqm).

Two Bedroom Oceanfront Fort Suite: This recently refurbished suite is located on the upper level above the restaurant and bar area on the water's edge - directly overlooking the beach and sea with private room-top terrace. Maximum occupancy: 4 adults + 1 child on rollaway bed (232sqm).

Three Bedroom Oceanfront Fort Suite: A spacious beachfront suite situated adjacent to the restaurant and part of the original fort building – complete with a terrace, garden and immediate beach access. Maximum occupancy: 6 (232sqm).

Three Bed Vineyard Suites: Luxurious suites with a mix of modern architecture and Caribbean design featuring neutral shades with hardwood polished floors offering great living space. Maximum occupancy: 6 (209sqm).
