The House is a chic, adults-only boutique hotel in Barbados which is a member of the Elegant Hotels group, offering both understated elegance and an atmosphere of relaxed informality.

Lush gardens surround the public areas and swimming pool, leading directly onto a pristine white sandy beach on the island’s renowned platinum west coast. Guests are offered a complimentary post-flight neck and shoulder massage on arrival, setting the tone for exceptional personal service and attention to detail that is guaranteed throughout their stay. Ambassadors are on hand to cater to your every need, from serving poolside drinks and booking beachside massages to arranging island excursions

Accommodation is in 34 contemporary suites which are designed to make the most of the beachside setting, the majority with French doors which open on to balconies with stunning sea views.

New to The House is the Positano Restaurant, an authentic Italian experience in the heart of Barbados. Guests can enjoy lunch and dinner at 1703 Mount Gay Rum Bar, with a wide range of cocktails and spirits. The Deck offers beachfront dining, and included with the all inclusive are indulgent champagne breakfasts, a "Grab and Go" bar with fresh light bites and drinks, sophisticated afternoon teas and evening canapes. Guests can also experience other Elegant Hotel restaurants with their signature Dine Around Programme.

Guests can indulge in spa treatments at the brand new spa, where innovated technology is combined with natural botanicals to provide the ultimate in wellbeing and skin nutrition.

A range of complimentary motorised and non-motorised water sports are available at the neighbouring Tamarind Hotel, including kayaking and sailing. If you are struggling to choose between a small intimate hotel and one with more facilities, book your holiday here, as you can also use the facilities such as restaurants, pools, activities of neighbouring sister hotel Tamarind along with the other Elegant hotels on Barbados, but don’t panic those guests cannot invade your holiday at The House as their facilities are exclusive to residents.

Hotel Information

Children: The House is an adults-only hotel which is unsuitable for children.

Distance from the airport: Approximately 40 minutes.

Facilities: Spa, swimming pool and personal beach ambassador service with cool towels, chilled water and fruit. Complimentary watersports including dinghy sailing, kayaks, snorkelling, boogie boards, stand up paddle boards and windsurfing. Access to a fitness centre with a range of Cybex cardio and weight equipment. The House offers complimentary use of a library and Wi-Fi. The lounge bar offers canapés and light lunches. There is golf nearby. Guests have full use of Tamarind Hotel next door.

Tours & Excursions: Guided visits can be arranged through the Hotel's concierge or the concierge will organise a rental car for guests to create your own schedule which may include beaches, jungle hiking paths, historic plantations, rum distilleries, caves, churches and Diamonds International - the leading jeweller and diamond dealer.

Meal Arrangements: Stays at The House are on an all-inclusive basis.

Check In/Out: Guests are kindly asked to check in at 3pm and check out at 12 noon. Guests arriving before the check in time will be accommodated as rooms become available.
