The Sandpiper Hotel is one of our favourite hotels in Barbados, a family owned property whose reputation has earned it membership of 'Small Luxury Hotels of the World'. Situated on the Platinum West Coast on a white, sandy beach, the exclusive hotel is one of the most highly awarded hotels in Barbados. 

 

The Sandpiper is luxurious and secluded, surrounded by seven acres of  lush tropical gardens filled with orchid and coconut trees and flowering bougainvillea. There are 50 elegant suites, each with individually designed interiors and a private balcony or terrace. Some suites have their own plunge pools, while the Beach House houses three separate one bedroom suites which can be connected to create a three bedroom house- perfect for a family holiday. 

 

The hotel's award winning restaurant overlooks the beach and is open on three sides; it serves a fusion of European and Asian cuisine using fresh local ingredients and seafood.  Al fresco lunches and cocktails are available on the beach from the charming Harold’s Bar, which has recently been enhanced and now features a large deck stretching out to the sea front. 

 

The Sandpiper has two swimming pools – one lagoon pool which is tiled with mosaics and another 60-foot lap pool. These are nestled within the gardens along with a gym and a floodlit tennis court, with complimentary tennis coaching in the afternoons.  Complimentary non-motorised watersports including sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkelling are also on offer.
