Ten different styles of villa are hidden away among coconut groves and lush vegetation overlooking the island's unspoilt beaches or are on stilts over the lagoon. Each of the luxurious villas has an island host to take care of all your needs and either offers direct access to the beach or into the lagoon, while the vast majority also have a private plunge pool or Jacuzzi. With huge bedroom areas and oversized bathrooms, villas are extremely spacious and offer plenty of privacy.
A range of dining options include a waterfront bar and grill, a fine dining restaurant and a poolside cafe. Guests can also choose to enjoy a barbeque on the beach, an in-villa dinner or breakfast by their private pool.
Facilities at Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa include two swimming pools, a spa offering a vast range of luxurious treatments, a sports complex, tennis courts and a watersports centre. Land-based activities include yoga, basketball, football, table tennis and pool, while watersports include windsurfing, catamaran sailing, water skiing, wakeboarding and kiteboarding. Guests can learn to scuba dive with knowledgeable instructors, allowing them to discover a stunning underwater world with the Dhonakulhi reef sitting under 30 metres from the shore.
Families are well-catered for, thanks to family-friendly accommodation and a kids' club which organises a range of indoor and outdoor activities.

While I was on the island I had a go at night snorkelling - as a snorkelling fanatic I was delighted to have the opportunity to jump in off the jetty into the pitch black and spot marine life including an octopus, moral eel, stingray and plenty of tropical fish. An incredible experience that I'd recommend to water lovers!
Children: Children are welcomed at Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa. Each villas offers a 24/7 Butler service, who will be on hand to take care of all needs, including helping to care for your children whether building sandcastles on the beach or snorkelling in the lagoon. Additionally, Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa is home to the Tender Hearts Children Club which provides a range of fully supervised indoor and outdoor activities. Babysitting can be arranged for all children at a local charge.
Transfers: 75 minute direct seaplane transfer or 45 minute domestic flight from Male followed by a 20 minute speedboat transfer.

Matheefaru is the main restaurant with a deck overlooking the lagoon, serving international cuisine for breakfast lunch and dinner. Meeru Bar and Grill is a casual option by the pool where pizzas are cooked in a wood-fired oven and meat is cooked on the grill. Samsara Asian Restaurant is set on stilts over the lagoon, serving Asian cuisine on an open-air terrace with a Teppanyaki table for a theatrical experience. Sunset Pool Cafe is a poolside dining venue with views over the sea, open throughout the day and evening with influences from Europe and Asia. The team at Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa can also arrange tailor-made dining experiences, from dining on the sundeck of your villa to a private spot on the beach.
Accommodation
Spacious and luxuriously designed, the 103 villas are set in either beach or lagoon positions and range from 176sqm to an impressive 1400 sq. m. The versatility of the accommodation makes Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa an ideal resort to cater for the honeymooners, families and those on a social escape with friends! All villas feature Wi-Fi, air conditioning, TV, DVD and Blu-ray players, home theatre systems, in room safe, telephone, mini bar, a Nespresso coffee machine and bikes to ride around the island. At Hideaway Beach Resort Maldives each villa has their own butler to take care of all needs.
Sunset Beach Villa: 176 sq. m. Scattered along the coastline these villas feature an open outdoor terrace, an indoor and an outdoor bathroom complete with a Jacuzzi bathtub. The villas are furnished to a high standard with teak flooring, a dressing room and its natural style is enhanced by the use of neutral soft furnishings.
Beach Residence with Plunge Pool: 550 sq. m. These have the added feature of being much larger than the beach villas and provide a spacious home from home. In addition guests can enjoy a two-person Jacuzzi bath, an open air garden dining area and an outdoor plunge pool.
Deluxe Water Villa with Pool: 196 sq. m. These newly built water villas are set above the turquoise lagoon surrounding the island. Spacious and well designed, these villas comprise of a large bedroom with a sitting area, an indoor bathroom, a Jacuzzi bathtub overlooking the lagoon and a walk in wardrobe. The outside space provides an 18 m. infinity pool and an in-villa dining area on your private sundeck where you can enjoy a drink as the sun sets.
Deluxe Beach Residence with Pool: Just a few steps from the beach, these residences are set in tropical gardens with a large private pool and personal butler service.
Deluxe Sunset Beach Villa with Pool: Nestled on private stretch of white sandy beach the villa is elegantly furnished, has a luxurious bathroom and a lush and tropical garden with a pool for a refreshing swim.
Ocean Villa with Pool: 300 sq. m. Perched above the lagoon, this one bedroom suite enjoys a separate living and dining room, indoor bathroom with a free standing Jacuzzi bathtub, shower and walk in wardrobe. The outside space comprises of a large sundeck with a dining area and a 22 sq. m. pool.
Sunset Beach Residence with Pool: 705 sq. m. These extremely spacious villas are entered through your own private courtyard which leads to the large living space overlooking the ocean. One large bedroom, an indoor and outdoor bathroom, a dressing area, a lounge sits within the villa while the outside space provides a private garden to enjoy, an outdoor sitting area and an infinity pool.
Ocean 2 Bedroom Villa with Pool: 340sq. m. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living and dining room, a verandah with a 25m infinity pool sunk into your outdoor deck area - all sat on stilts above the lagoon with a large sundeck with breathtaking views over the lagoon. Great for honeymooners looking for the extra space or for a small group.
Two Bedroom Beach Residence with Pool: 1,200 sq. m. These extremely spacious villas provide two bedrooms, a lounge area, an indoor and outdoor bathroom and a dressing area. The private outside space includes a 53 sq. m. infinity pool, an outdoor sitting area and an open-air terrace.
Hideaway Palace: 1,420 sq. m. These award winning Palaces compromise of three villas surrounded by infinity pools - perfect for a group of friends or a large family. Each villa has a master bedroom with en suite indoor and outdoor bathrooms, two further bedrooms each with en suite indoor and outdoor bathrooms, a dining pavilion with a roof terrace and a pantry for your butler to prepare your drinks and snacks.
