Atmosphere Kanifushi is an all-inclusive resort in the Maldives, situated in Lhaviyani Atoll about half an hour by seaplane from Male International airport. The island itself is about 2km in length and 90 metres wide with lush green tropical vegetation and a large natural coral reef surrounding it.
Accommodation at the resort comprises of 172 stand alone villas and suites. All 132 beach front villas and suites offer direct access to the white sandy beaches that surround the island with an unbroken sunset view. Villas offer a contemporary feel with a Maldivian touch, fusing traditional and modern architecture with natural materials including marble and granite. Stretching out over the Western lagoon of Kanifushi Island are 40 water villas, 28 of which offer sunset views and private pool.
The Atmosphere Kanifushi Plan includes all meals, a wide range of drinks, activities including various non-motorised water sports, a sunset fishing trip, a complimentary excursion, access to the kids club and roundtrip transfers. One a la carte fine dining experience is also included in the Kanifushi Plan.
Dining at Atmosphere Kanifushi gives guests a great variety of options - breakfast is served as a beautiful buffet spread, a la carte options are available for lunch and dinner, while guests can order bar snacks throughout the day. Just Veg is the first vegetarian restaurant in the Maldives and serves contemporary cuisine - the food is excellent and worth a visit even if you are not vegetarian, The Teppanyaki Grill offers an authentic and theatrical experience, while The Spice serves a variety of international cuisine. Lunch is served at The Sunset Pool Bar, while dinner is a fusion of Mediterranean and Asian cuisine - guests can enjoy one a la carte fine dining experience here per week. The Liquid Bar provides a relaxing space in which to unwind throughout the day and night, regularly playing host to theme nights and live music. Tucked amongst the dense trees, Ceylon Bliss is a hidden gem. The perfect spot to spend Happy Hour and enjoy typical Sri Lankan Street Food while listening to the waves and observing the sunset. Pier Six is the resorts overwater restaurant, built on the new overwater peninsula, offering an array of seafood specialities and Japanese Teppanyaki grill options.
The facilities at Atmosphere Kanifushi are superb. The Akiri Spa is a complex of 12 treatment rooms which are all set amongst the lush landscaped gardens, offering Ayurvedic therapy to balance body and mind as well as a sauna, steam room and a Jacuzzi.
A floodlit tennis court, fully equipped gymnasium and water sports including windsurfing, sailing and waterskiing are also available if you are feeling active. Regular excursions include island picnics, sunset cruises and daily snorkelling adventures. There is also a PADI licensed Dive Centre which allows you to experience the reef just off the shore or at other dive sites nearby which include caves and shipwrecks.

The panoramic views around the island were stunning - there was nothing but ocean in sight. The food, wine and service at Pier Six were incredible, and I also loved the Sri Lankan street food at Ceylon Bliss. The setting on the beach is beautiful and this is a brilliant option for guests wanting a slightly lighter evening meal.
Children: Children are welcome at Atmosphere Kanifushi and there are organised activities for all ages as well as a Kids Club.
Transfers: Atmosphere Kanifushi is approximately 30 minutes by seaplane from Male International Airport.
Facilities: The Akiri Spa has 12 treatment rooms, as well as a sauna, steam room and a Jacuzzi. There is a fully equipped gymnasium and a flood-lit tennis court. There are two main swimming pools with one on the sunrise side of the island and one on the sunset side. Atmosphere Kanifushi has the first full sized 50 metre pool in the Maldives. The PADI Certified Diving Centre and Watersports centre enable guests to experience the underwater world that surrounds the island. Several weekly excursions occur, ranging from sunset fishing trips to island hopping and romantic getaways. There is entertainment, with live music, DJ's or discos.
Dining: Spice Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a buffet style with themed nights and grills. Liquid Bar is the main bar at Atmostphere Kanifushi serving cocktails, beers, spirits etc. The Sunset bar and restaurant offers casual drinks and dining during the day and becomes Kanifushi's fine dining option in the evening. Just Veg is the first vegetarian restaurant in the Maldives and combines fresh local vegetables with the culinary delights of India, Asia and the Mediterranean. Teppanyaki Grill at Atmosphere Kanifushi allows guests to share large circular tables surrounding a hot plate while the chef entertains you! Pier Six is the resorts overwater restaurant, offering an array of seafood specialities and Japanese Teppanyaki grill options, and is included once during the stay for guests staying in overwater villas. Ceylon Bliss offers happy hour drinks and serves typical Sri Lankan Street Food.
Atmosphere Kanifushi Plan: The plan includes breakfast, lunch and dinner served at the Spice Restaurant as a buffet with live cooking stations, themed nights and grills, plus snacks at the Liquid and Sunset pool bars, the a la carte lunch menu at the Sunset bar and one a la carte fine dining experience per guest, per week. Activities include one sunset fishing trip per stay, one complimentary excursion, access to the kids club, complimentary non motorised water sports, complimentary snorkelling equipment, unlimited snorkelling excursions (two scheduled trips per day). Extras: your mini bar stocked twice daily, a massage dependent on your length of stay, and a 20% discount for PADI divers on two dives.

There are 172 villas in total, each with direct beach access and uninterrupted sunset views. For privacy each villa is set at least 4 metres from neighboring ones.
Sunset Beach Villa: With a total area of 100 square metres, these are some of the largest entry-level villas in the Maldives. They are designed with high ceilings and open-air bathrooms and are ideal for honeymoon couples. Each has direct beach access, a queen sized bed, an oversized day bed, a whirlpool bath, private outdoor areas, a bathroom, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, tea & coffee facilities, safety box, Wi-Fi, DVD player, 32" flat screen satellite TV and an iPod Dock. Kanifushi Grand Pool Villa: These spacious villas occupy some of the best beachfront locations. With an area of 242 square metres they offer space and comfort.
