20 Degrees Sud is a charming, boutique hotel tucked away in an unassuming location on Grand Baie. A member of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux group, 20 Degrees Sud is ideally suited to those seeking an intimate and exclusive retreat on the desirable north coast of Mauritius.
With just 36 rooms and suites, guests can be assured of personalised service and attention to detail throughout their stay. Accommodation is set in two storey buildings facing the lagoon and decorated in a traditional and homely style. Due to the intimate nature of the property, most rooms are within close proximity to the waterfront and they either overlook the beautiful coconut grove or the bay.
Guests at 20 Degrees Sud can enjoy 2 exclusive dining venues. L’Explorateur is a beautiful restaurant nestled against the side of the hotel and overlooking the beachfront, where an innovative menu combines fine cuisine with local produce, with a particular emphasis on fresh seafood. M/S Lady Lisbeth meanwhile allows guests to board the oldest motorboat on the island and partake in a unique dinner cruise.
Tucked away in the hotel grounds is 20 Degrees Sud’s Secret Spa, where guests can indulge in a range of treatments, as well as take part in yoga, stretching or aqua gym sessions. The spa also boasts its own pool in addition to the main pool at the heart of the hotel. A range of non-motorised watersports, including Hobbie Cat sailing, kayaking and windsurfing, are available from the boathouse, and the hotel also offers excursions on their own traditional sailing barge.

Children: 20 Degrés Sud Hotel is classed as an adult-only hotel, however children are welcome from 12 years old and above.
Location: 20 Degrés Sud Hotel is located on the north coast of Grand Baie, approximately a 60-minute drive from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.
Facilities: Two swimming pools, non-motorised watersports, library, bicycle hire, boat transfers to Grand Baie and an on site Spa with hammam and fitness centre.
Dining: The hotels main restaurant, L'Explorateur, offers a buffet breakfast, and a la carte lunch and dinner menus with an International flavour with local touches. La Voile provides a chilled-out place to eat lighter bites just steps away from the pool and beach. The M/S Lady Lisbeth, the islands oldest motorboat, offers guests a really exclusive dining experience with set menu of refined sea-to-table dishes.

Suites: Facing the beautiful lagoon of Grand Baie, these suites are equipped with an outdoor jacuzzi, nespresso machine, iPod station, room service, bathtub, shower, air conditioning, safe, mini bar and private terrace.
Austral Suites: All different, these suites are each equipped with a small plunge pool facing the sea on the ground floor or a large hot tub for those upstairs. The terraces are less than 2 metres from the lagoon and offer breathtaking views. The antique furniture gives a distinctive atmosphere, and amenities include lounge, iPod station, iron and ironing board, telephone, satellite TV, flat screen, terrace, WIFI, queen-size bed, outdoor hot tub, bathrobes, hairdryer -dryer, separate toilet, separate shower and bathtub.
Secret Suite: The Secret Suite duplex is designede to offer complete privacy and serenity. The furniture is crafted by Flamant Interior Home and a whirlpool bath faces the statement canopy bed. On the ground floor a lounge and a large library invites guests to relax and enjoy the view. The 108-square-meter suite is built with a private outdoor area with a deck, a long winter heated pool and private access to the beach and spa. Amenities include room service, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, you can relax in spacious sophistication or lie outside and enjoy the singing of tropical birds.
