VARU by Atmosphere is an elegant, all-inclusive resort located just 40 minutes speedboat transfer from Male International Airport. This exclusive island paradise blends contemporary architecture with tropical beauty to create a laid-back resort perfect for both families and couples.
Accommodation options at VARU by Atmosphere include beach and water villas, many with their own pool. Villas are contemporary in style and offer a private sanctuary either steps away from the beach or overlooking the turquoise lagoon. There are also two-bedroom beach villas which provide plenty of space for families or friends travelling together.
The VARU Plan is an all-inclusive package that combines an exciting range of food and beverage options with activities and excursions, allowing guests to indulge and enjoy the best of Maldivian hospitality. Meals are served at Lime & Chilli restaurant, which offers sumptuous buffets, live cooking stations and grills. Depending on length of stay, guests are also able to enjoy a number of dining experiences at the three fine dining restaurants, which serve Maldivian cuisine, Mediterranean seafood and grilled specialities.
VARU by Atmosphere’s range of complimentary activities will keep the whole family entertained. Non-motorised watersports, such stand up paddle boards, water bikes and canoes, are included in the all-inclusive package, as is use of snorkelling equipment and snorkelling excursions to nearby sites. On island meanwhile, guests can enjoy group activities such as yoga and Pilates, as well as use of tennis and badminton courts. Those simply looking to relax and unwind will love the range of holistic treatments on offer at the overwater spa, with at least one complimentary treatment offered per adult on stays of four nights and above.

The rooms at VARU were lovely and very spacious. I was also impressed by the buffet restaurant, which offered plenty of choice with dishes very well presented. I was lucky enough to go on both the stargazing and sunset cruises - both were magical and something I would definitely recommend for anyone celebrating a special occasion.

Transfers: VARU by Atmosphere is around 40 minutes by speedboat from Male International Airport and return transfers are complimentary for all guests.
Facilities: Dive school, water sports, spa complex, gymnasium, kids club, excursions, and snorkelling.
Dining: All guests at VARU will be on the unique Premium All-Inclusive plan the Varu Plan; offering an array of food and beverage options at the resorts four restaurants and two bars. Lime & Chilli offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with live cooking stations, hot buffet classics, salad and grill bars, pasta and pizza counters and dessert displays. Charcoal is open for dinner only and offers a wide selection of appetizers, salads, kabab platters or classic entrees like Filet Mignon, Sirloin Steak, Ribeye, or Bourbon Baby Back Ribs. Kaagé is the resorts signature restaurant offering lunch and dinner, allowing guests to experience local flavours presented with a progressive twist. Nü is the resorts over-water bar and restaurant which serves food at lunch and dinner. It offers the best of Mediterranean, Italian, and French cuisine, with standout dishes like Bouillabaisse, Squid Ink Pappardelle, and Lagoon Crab Risotto. Bay Rouge is the main poor bar where guests can pick from an elaborate menu with a premium selection of spirits, beer, and wine, unlimited cocktails and mocktails, signature drinks, and a selection of tea and coffee.
Accommodation: The beachfront villas and suites have direct access to the surrounding white sandy beaches and enjoy views of the ocean beyond. These villas have spacious interiors and outdoor decks surrounded by lush green vegetation. Interiors are designed using natural materials of wood and stone and enjoy minimalistic design styles with splashes of vibrant colours. There are a total of 39 villas in 5 categories on the beach, each with traditional open-air bathrooms and luxurious interiors and furnishings. The over-water villas are split across 3 separate water villa jetties spanning around the South-Western side of the island. Each villa has direct access to the lagoon from the deck.
