Shanti Maurice boasts accommodation options ranging from spacious junior suites to extensive two bedroom villas. Suites are elegantly furnished and offer panoramic floor to ceiling windows to make the most of stunning views over the beach and ocean beyond. For the best views, we would recommend the junior suite oceanfront, which is located on the first floor directly overlooking the beach. The junior suite beachfront meanwhile allows guests to walk right out onto the white sand beach, which is just metres away. The villas at Shanti Maurice meanwhile offer the ultimate in luxury accommodation, complete with a large private pool.
Dining options at Shanti Maurice showcase the best of authentic Mauritian cuisine and the culinary diversity of the Indian Ocean. Stars serves a range of dishes including the resort’s famous Aquacasia cuisine, Indian, Asian, Arabic & Thai specialities, whilst Feet in the Sand offers an unforgettable dining experience on the beach. La Kaze Mama celebrates traditional Mauritian home cooking and treats guests to a unique rustic setting whilst they enjoy dishes using ingredients grown in the resort’s own herb garden. Rum Shed Bar & Grill provides another unique culinary experience, where guests can enjoy the largest variety of rums in Mauritius accompanied by fantastic grill specialties in a rustic shabby chic atmosphere.
The spa at Shanti Maurice is hard to beat…. There are also plenty of activities to take part in, including watersports, tennis, boat trips and cooking classes, and the concierge team will be happy to assist in arranging excursions to the many beauty spots in the south of the island. Facilities for younger guests meanwhile include an excellent kids club which runs a weekly activity programme, as well as offering a pool and games room. Families will also enjoy the open air cinema on the beach, which shows a range of films, including cartoons for children.

A huge and varied selection of dining options to ensure you find a menu that fits your tastes. I recommend the Rum Shed for some great food and authentic rum.
Children: Children are welcome at Shanti Maurice Resort & Spa. Children stay, eat and play for free in the 2000sqm kids club which is open between 10am-10pm for children aged between 3 - 12 years of age. Babysitting services are also available upon request.
Location: Shanti Maurice Resort & Spa is located on the South Coast of Mauritius, approximately a 40-minute drive from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.
Facilities: On site facilities include a boutique, arrival and departure lounge, beach soccer, beach bocce ball, giant chess, 9-hole pitch and putt, 2 floodlit tennis courts, tennis academy, table tennis and more. The Shanti Spa has 25 treatment rooms, a beauty salon and 2 yoga pavilions. Guests at Shanti Maurice Resort can enjoy complimentary use of the fitness centre and gym, 9 hole putting green, tennis courts, bicycles, jogging track and resort library plus non-motorised water sports (snorkelling, sailing, surfing, stand up paddleboards, zayaks, kayaks and more) from the Boat House.
Dining: Stays at Shanti Maurice Resort are on a half board or full board basis. The resorts signature restaurant Stars offers the best of Indian Ocean cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. La Kaze Mama Garden Restaurant offers authentic Mauritian home cooking in a buffet style and live cooking stations between 7 - 9.30pm (weather dependant). The Rum Shed Bar and Grill offers a family style sharing menu from the wood-fired oven and BBQ between 6.30 - 10pm on selected days of the week. The Fish Market offers a myriad of seafood options between 12 - 14.30 and a BBQ grill buffet between 6.30 - 10.30pm on selected days. The Asian Lounge and Just Thai experiences are open for dinner between 6.30 - 10.30pm, plus in suite/villa dining and picnics are available upon request.
