Villas are classic yet modern in style, drawing inspiration from the island’s natural beauty and featuring thatched roofs, local materials, traditional art and lush fabrics. Set on the beach or over the lagoon, all accommodation is filled with light thanks to the high ceilings and French windows that also make the most of the stunning views. Some villas boast private plunge pools, while two bedroom options are excellent for families.
The Residence Maldives offers a range of unforgettable epicurean experiences, from casual lunches to fine dining, all accompanied by gentle breezes and stunning views. Guests can choose between The Dining Room, a beachfront bistro overlooking the lagoon, The Falhumaa, an overwater restaurant where the focus is on fresh seafood and grilled meats, and the Beach Bar, a poolside venue serving light meals and refreshing beverages.
The beachfront infinity pool is a relaxing venue with sumptuous daybeds that allow guests to relax while dipping their feet in the water. Other facilities at the resort include a water sports centre offering complimentary non-motorised water sports and a PADI 5 star dive centre offering courses for beginners and bubblemaker experiences for children. Divers and snorkelers can discover the colourful house reef which surrounds the island or visit a range of fantastic dive sites nearby. Guests can enjoy a range of excursions including a picnic on a nearby private island which can be reached by kayak, and a coral gardening experience allows guests to learn more about protecting the coral reefs by creating their own coral frame.
The Residence Maldives is home to the only Spa by Clarins in the Maldives, an overwater facility with six separate pavilions and a hair salon, offering a range of holistic treatments, pampering massages and beauty services.
The resort is great for families, boasting a kids club with a programme daily activities for 3 to 12 year olds including arts and crafts, games and movies.

The Residence is immaculate with lovely, colonial style rooms and fantastic facilities. The resort would be great for honeymooners thanks to the beautiful surroundings and special touches including a floating breakfast which guests can enjoy in the privacy of their private pool. The dolphin sunset cruise was wonderful, with huge pods of dolphins performing right by the boat!

Children: Children are welcome. A kids club offers a range of games, crafts and activities for children aged 3 to 12 years old.
Transfers: The Residence Maldives is reached by a 55 minute domestic flight from Male International Airport followed by a 10 minute speedboat transfer. It is also possible to travel directly from Male International Airport on a private chartered sea plane, a journey of about 90 minutes.
Facilities: Beachfront infinity pool, library, kids club, PADI 5 star dive centre, water sports centre, fitness centre, boutique & gift shop, sauna & steam room, yoga deck.
Complimentary activities: Sunsrise and sunset yoga classes, use of fitness centre, non-motorised water sports such as kayaking, stand-up-paddle-boarding, snorkelling, catamaran sailing and windsurfing.
Chargeable activities: Cooking classes, cocktail-making classes, picnic lunches on nearby island, coral gardening, scuba diving, catamaran sailing and windsurfing lessons, motorised water sports including water skiing, knee boarding, fun tube rides and jet skiing.

Spa: The Spa by Clarins is an overwater facility with six separate pavilions overlooking the lagoon and a beauty salon. A range of holistic treatments, massages and beauty services are available, using only bespoke Clarins products.
Meal Arrangements: Stays at The Residence are on a bed & breakfast basis with the option to upgrade to half board, full board, all-inclusive or premium all-inclusive.
Dining: The Dining Room is the resort’s main restaurant serving a la carte breakfast, light lunches and a variety of international cuisine in the evening, fusing classic flavours with a contemporary twist. The Falhumaa is an overwater dining venue located at the end of a 230-metre long jetty, open in the evening for fresh seafood and grilled meats accompanied by fine wines. The Beach Bar is a casual venue by the pool which serves light meals, tapas and refreshing beverages throughout the day. Private dining experiences are available including canapés on the beach, private island dinners and in-villa dining (available 24 hours per day).

Two Bedroom Beach Pool Villa: These villas are similar to the Beach Villas but with the addition of a second bedroom with twin beds and an en suite bathroom, plus a large plunge pool. Maximum occupancy: 6 adults or 5 adults + 1 children or 2 adults + 4 children (273sqm)
Water Villa: These villas are set on stilts over the lagoon and feature a master bedroom, an en suite bathroom with outdoor shower, a separate living room and a spacious deck leading with direct access to the water. Maximum occupancy: 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 children (137sqm)
Water Pool Villa: These villas are similar to the Water Villas but with the addition of a private plunge pool on the deck. Maximum occupancy: 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 children (156sqm)
